Walking the Gap of Dunloe

September 21, 2022 by admin

The Gap of Dunloe is a famous scenic route in Kerry that goes from Kate Kearney’s Cottage to the Black Valley. The narrow mountain pass separates the MacGillyCuddy’s Reeks mountain range in the west, from the Purple Mountain range in the east.

We parked up at Kate Kearney’s Cottage and walked the route towards the Head of the Gap of Dunloe but you can also rent out tours with jaunting cars. A link to the carpark is here

Visit this website for more details.

Kate Kearney’s Cottage is about a 15-minute drive from Killarney town, which has many other great places to visit, including the National Park and Muckrose House
