Wells House and Gardens, Wexford

September 18, 2022 by admin

Wells House is a great family day out on the grounds of a 17th-century Victorian House, with enchanting woodland walks and lots to do. It is located about 30 minutes from Wexford and about an hour and a half from Dublin (link to location). Note there is an entrance fee and tickets can be booked online in advance at https://wellshouse.ie/entry-fees-wexford.

There are two woodland walks on the grounds, Mogue’s Walk with a range of amazing wooden sculptures and the Fairy Trail which also includes wooden statues of the characters from the Gruffalo. For any little fans of the Gruffalo, it is a great walk as they hunt for all the characters, the mouse, the fox, owl and snake.

Other activities on the grounds include:

  • Playground
  • Coffee and restaurant
  • Gardens
  • Wishing well
  • Animal farm
  • Wells House tour

Check out their website for more details and enjoy the day out. Below are a few photos.
